Indian Airforce Requirement 2012, Airman in the Group 'X' (Technical) Trades

Indian Air Force, invites applications for unmarried male candidates for the selection as an Airman in the Group 'X' (Technical) Trades

Qualification : Pass in Intermediate/ 10+2/ equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks in aggregate with Physics, Mathematics OR Three year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile or Computer Science or Instrumentation Technology
or Information Technology) with at least 50% marks in overall aggregate from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.

Age Limit:Candidates should be born between 01 July 1991 to 30 September 1995 (both days inclusive).

Domicile Requirement : To be eligible to appear in the rally at RC Surana Law College Ground, Durg (Chhattisgarh) the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination from the recognized Board of the State of Chhattisgarh OR should fulfill the domicile requirements (Domicile Certificate issued by Tehsildar/ Nb Tehsildar or any official authorized by the State Government of Chhattisgarh only will be accepted). If in Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination passing certificate, name of the district is not mentioned, candidate has to bring the original Domicile Certificate in which the District name is mentioned.

Medical Standards:(i) Height: Minimum height required is 152.5 cms.
(ii) Chest: Minimum range of expansion: 5 cm
(iii) Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
(iv) Corneal Surgery (PRK/LASIK) not acceptable.
(v) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear
forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(vi) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.
(vii) Health: Candidate should be free from medical or surgical
deformity. He should be free from all communicable diseases and skin ailments.

How to apply

The Recruitment Test for Group ‘X’ (Technical) trades will be held at RC Surana Law College Ground, Durg (Chhattisgarh) from 12 July 2012 to 17 July 2012 as per the Selection Programme given below. The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards every day as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.
